Launching a coin
Paired assets, developer buy, launch window, graduation.
What it costs
Launching costs the Pons launch fee, currently 0.0005 ETH, plus gas. fees.sh charges nothing to launch.
Choosing who gets the fees
Pick one of three targets:
- X account. Type the handle. We look up the account's numeric id, so a later rename does not break anything.
- GitHub account. Same idea with the GitHub username.
- Wallet. Paste any address. Pons pays it directly and fees.sh is not involved.
For X and GitHub targets, fees.sh computes a dedicated fee address for this launch before the transaction is sent. That address belongs to the account you named. See Custody and security for what that means.
Paired asset
Your coin trades against a quote asset on its bonding curve and later in its Uniswap pool. ETH is the default. Pons also approves a set of Robinhood tokenized stocks; each has its own curve size and graduation amount in that asset's units.
Currently approved stock pairs (48): AMC, AMD, AMZN, BABA, BB, BE, BULL, cbBTC, COIN, COST, CRCL, DELL, DJT, F, FIG, GLD, HIMS, IBM, INDA, JNJ, LLY, LULU, META, MRNA, MRVL, MSFT, MSTR, MU, NFLX, NU, PFE, PLTR, QQQ, RBLX, RDDT, RIVN, SGOV, SHOP, SKHY, SLV, SNAP, SNDK, TAO, TSM, TTWO, UPS, USO, WYFI.
Developer buy
You can buy some of your own coin in the same transaction that launches it. That buy happens before anyone else can trade and is not subject to the launch tax. For stock pairs you first approve the amount, then launch.
Launch window
Anyone else who buys in the first 3 seconds pays a launch tax that starts at 99% and decays to zero. Your own wallet is exempt automatically. If your team opens with several wallets, list them under Advanced so they are exempt too.
Graduation
When the curve raises its graduation amount (4.2 ETH for ETH pairs), Pons moves the liquidity into a Uniswap v4 pool and locks it forever. Trading continues there. Creator fees keep flowing to the same target.
Advanced options
- Creator tax. An extra fee of up to 10% on every trade, paid entirely to the fee target. Traders see the total.
- Buyback and lock. Pons spends part of the base fee buying your coin and locks it for five years, vested to the fee target.
- Snipe tax exemptions. Wallets that may buy during the launch window without the tax.
